We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Del Rio, TX. This is an opportunity to join a Level IV trauma center with strong specialty back-up and a dedicated Express Care unit. Please see below for more information.
12 ED beds plus 4-bed Express Care staffed with APPs
Level IV Trauma Center
Meditech Expanse EMR
Job Responsibilities
Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients
Provide trauma care in a Level IV Trauma Center setting
Order and interpret diagnostic studies and imaging
Coordinate care with on-call specialty back-up including general surgery, urology, OB/GYN, interventional cardiology, nephrology, interventional radiology, and pediatrics
Manage transfers as clinically indicated
Document patient encounters in Meditech Expanse EMR
Qualifications
Active Texas medical license via IMLC
DEA
ACLS
ATLS
PALS
Working Hours
Contract length: 3 months to 1 year
