We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Victoria, TX. This is an opportunity to join a Level III trauma center with robust specialty back-up and teleneurology support. Please see below for more information.
22 ED beds
Level III Trauma Center
MedHost EMR
Job Responsibilities
Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients
Provide trauma care in a Level III Trauma Center setting
Order and interpret diagnostic studies and imaging
Coordinate care with on-call specialty back-up including general/trauma surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, obstetrics, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, plastics, neonatology, and urology
Utilize teleneurology for emergent neurological consults
Manage pediatric ED visits (approximately 15% of volume)
Document patient encounters in MedHost EMR
Qualifications
Active Texas medical license or active IMLC
DEA
ACLS
ATLS
PALS
Working Hours
Contract length: 3 months to 1 year
