Job description
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for a locum tenens position in Salinas, CA. This is a high-volume ER coverage opportunity at a regional tertiary care, STEMI, and stroke receiving facility. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Manage approximately 65,000 annual ED visits (2 patients per hour, approximately 20 patients per 10-hour shift)
Care for pediatric and critical care patients
Coordinate with strong subspecialty backup
Provide care within a democratic group staffing model
Treat STEMI and stroke patients at a regional receiving facility
Qualifications
Active California state license
DEA
Pediatric and critical care experience required
Working Hours
Minimum 8 shifts per month (12 preferred)
No call
Start Date: 6/8/2026
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
