We are seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for a PRN locum tenens position in Okeechobee, FL. This is a flexible ER coverage opportunity at a short-term acute care community hospital, the only hospital in Okeechobee County. Please see below for more information.
Beds: 100
Job Responsibilities
Cover both day and night shifts as available
Work flexible 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
Provide emergency care in a rural/community hospital setting
Collaborate with a medical staff of approximately 180+ physicians
Qualifications
Active Florida state license
DEA
Working Hours
8, 10, or 12-hour shift options
Start Date: 8/3/2026
Contract Length: 12 months
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
