Locums | Emergency Medicine | Poplar Bluff, MO (MO license required)
Why This Role
No call
Three physician openings
12-hour day, swing, and night shifts
Three APPs on the team
24-hour specialty and diagnostic support
Assignment Details
Ongoing coverage; updated start date to be confirmed
Shifts: 7 a.m.–7 p.m., 10 a.m.–10 p.m., or 7 p.m.–7 a.m.
Weekend coverage required
Emergency department coverage for scheduling needs
Approximately 20–24 patients per shift
26-bed ED in a stroke-certified hospital
Support: 3 APPs
EMR: Cerner
Credentialing: approximately 120 days
Clinical Details
Emergency department evaluation and treatment
No admissions or rounding required
No APP or resident/teaching supervision required
24-hour support: anesthesia, catheterization lab, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, laboratory, and radiology
No 24-hour cardiothoracic surgery or neurosurgery support
L&D department onsite; newborn deliveries are not received in the ED
Requirements
BC/BE welcome
Active Missouri medical license required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP; certifications must be maintained
Active Missouri DEA required
Providers must reside at least 90 miles from the facility
