We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Room Physician for locum tenens coverage during a transitional staffing period. This role is ideal for physicians who are flexible and comfortable working in a critical access hospital environment, with a strong preference for night shift availability.
Diagnose, treat, and stabilize patients in an 8-bed emergency department
Perform emergency procedures in accordance with ATLS guidelines
Collaborate with nursing staff, radiology, lab technicians, and hospitalists
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Strong preference for physicians available for night coverage
Coverage needed starting May 1, 2026, ongoing based on staffing needs
Patient Volume
Average of 20+ patients per day
Wide range of cases from low to high acuity
Critical Access Hospital setting
24/7 radiology and lab support
In-house or on-call hospitalist for admissions
Active medical license (North Dakota or IMLC)
ATLS
ACLS
PALS
NRP
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of varying acuity levelsDiagnose, treat, and stabilize patients in an 8-bed emergency department
Perform emergency procedures in accordance with ATLS guidelines
Collaborate with nursing staff, radiology, lab technicians, and hospitalists
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts (day and night rotations)Strong preference for physicians available for night coverage
Coverage needed starting May 1, 2026, ongoing based on staffing needs
