Job description
• We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a locums opportunity at a community hospital emergency department.
• The provider will deliver high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• This position offers full-time coverage with strong clinical support, modern facilities, and access to advanced imaging and EMR systems.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in an emergency department setting
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and stabilize critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, APPs, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active Pennsylvania medical license
• DEA certification required
• ABEM certification preferred but not required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
Working Hours
• Flexible shift scheduling based on facility needs
• Ongoing assignment with potential extensions
Skills
• Ability to manage a broad spectrum of emergency cases across all age groups
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in emergency procedures and patient stabilization
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
