Job description We are seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for multiple locum tenens opportunities across several hospital systems located between Dayton and Toledo, Ohio. These sites vary in annual ER volume (ranging from ~16,000 to 53,000 visits per year) and offer flexible shift structures, competitive hourly rates, and strong support from advanced practice providers (APPs). This is an excellent opportunity for physicians looking for consistent coverage, diverse practice settings, and above-market compensation

Job Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care in hospital-based emergency departments
Manage a wide range of patient presentations across varying acuity levels
Collaborate with APPs (NPs/PAs) in team-based care models
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Adhere to hospital protocols and clinical guidelines
Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with Emergency Department experience.
Active Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain)
Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (preferred)
Strong clinical decision-making and ability to work independently or in team-based settings
Prior ED experience is a must

Working Hours

Sites with 36–53 hours of daily physician coverage and 27–48 hours of APP coverage
Lower-volume sites with single physician coverage and limited APP support
Shift lengths vary by location, including 8–12 hour options
