Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in Cook, MN
A rural Critical Access Hospital in Cook, Minnesota is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a close-knit community setting. This opportunity offers the chance to practice broad-spectrum emergency medicine while working closely with a collaborative team serving northeastern Minnesota.
Position Details
Full-time Emergency Medicine position
Practice in a Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center
Provide emergency department coverage and assist with clinic acute visits as needed
Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, EMS, and ancillary teams
Emergency department includes 4 ER bays
Hospital includes 14 inpatient beds
Average of 6.5 ER visits per day with seasonal variation
Average inpatient census of 2 patients per day
EMR systems include Meditech Expanse (hospital) and Epic (clinic)
Comprehensive EMR training provided
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illness or injury
Stabilize emergent conditions and coordinate transfers when higher-level care is required
Manage a broad spectrum of emergency presentations with limited on-site specialty support
Collaborate with inpatient and outpatient teams to ensure continuity of care
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with emergency experience
Eligible for Minnesota medical licensure
DEA registration required
Ability to manage a wide range of emergency medical conditions
Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently in a rural setting
