A health services network in Texas is actively seeking a licensed Physician to join their growing Emergency Department in Welasco to provide locum coverage.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 24-hour MD coverage; 16-hour NP/PA coverage
- Hours: 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am (12-hour shifts)
- Setting: Micro-hospital Emergency Department
Responsibilities:
Managing adult and pediatric emergency cases
Stabilizing telemetry and medical cases- Resuscitation leadership when needed
- Coordinating transfers for higher-acuity patients
- Collaborating with APP team
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in ABEM/ABOEM
- Active ATLS and PALS certification
- Active DEA registration
- Proficient in handling Trauma and Critical Care cases
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Effective communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in lower-volume, micro-hospital settings
- Proficiency in Emergency Medicine procedures
