High-volume opportunity with RVU upside in a modern, patient-centered facility.

Franciscan Health Michigan City is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a well-supported Emergency Department averaging ~85 encounters per day. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who thrive in a productive, team-based environment and want compensation that rewards efficiency and performance.

    • 36 hours/day physician coverage

Candidate Qualifications

  • BE/BC in Emergency Medicine (MD/DO)
  • ATLS and ACLS required
  • Comfortable practicing in a high-volume ED with APP support
  • Team-oriented and quality-focused


Compensation & Benefits

Base Hourly Rates + RVU Upside

  • Day / Mid Base Rate: $182.48/hour
  • Night Base Rate: $202.48/hour
  • RVU Rate: $7.04 per RVU
  • Target Compensation: $250/hour (base + RVUs)

This compensation model provides a strong guaranteed base with meaningful upside for efficient, high-performing physicians.




Estimated Annual Compensation (Based on 1,440 Hours)

  • Base Only (Days): ~$262,800
  • Base Only (Nights): ~$291,600
  • At Target Productivity ($250/hour):
    • $360,000 annually
  • Upside Potential:
    • High performers can exceed the $250/hour target through RVU production
