Facility:
This medical center serves as a satellite emergency facility with a Level 3 trauma designation. The facility features 32 beds with an impressive annual emergency volume of 55,000 patients, utilizing Meditech EMR system for seamless documentation and patient care management.

Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Position involves floating between the main medical center and North Adams Hospital with priority need for morning and night shifts • Various shift options available including 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts • 30% of ED patients are admitted to the hospital daily • Hospitalist team handles admissions - ED physicians are not responsible for this process • APP coverage available to support physician workflow • Not responsible for codes • Required to monitor/supervise paramedics/ambulance by radio • Hospital bylaws require 30-minute response time for on-call physicians • Labor and delivery patients are sent directly to L&D, not through ED • Must be local - no flight reimbursement provided • Hotel accommodations are reimbursed by the facility • Requires active Massachusetts medical license (highly preferred with priority consideration) • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Board Eligible (within 5 years of Residency) required • Must maintain BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications • Clean background check required for expedited credentialing • Weekend coverage required • Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the month) required at time of presentation
