Emergency Medicine Physician – Nocturnist

Level II Trauma Center | Block Time Off | High-Acuity Practice

A busy, hospital-employed Emergency Medicine program is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nocturnist to join a collegial, residency-trained physician team at a regional Level II Trauma Center. The department is growing and undergoing a major expansion—creating an exciting time to join a stable, well-supported group.

The Emergency Department

  • Level II Trauma Center serving a large regional population

  • Annual volume of 60,000+ visits (150–200 patients per day)

  • Dedicated trauma and resuscitation rooms

  • Independent fast-track staffed by APPs

  • Zone-based care model with physicians, APPs, and RNs working together

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Nocturnist position

  • Average of 14 shifts per month

  • Mix of 9- and 10-hour shifts

  • Equitable scheduling model

  • Seven consecutive days off every month

Clinical Support Environment

Who We’re Looking For

  • MD or DO

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

  • Eligible for medical licensure

  • Comfortable with high-acuity, trauma-level care

  • Team-oriented and patient-focused

  • Not open to new graduates
