This facility is part of a regional healthcare network offering emergency medicine services through a hub-and-spoke care model. The medical center is a state-of-the-art 40-bed emergency department serving as the region's tertiary referral center with 330 beds and designation as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Physician - EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
Job Details:
• Position to start in 2027 due to upcoming retirements and expansion • Annual ED volumes of 42K patients/year in Duluth's brand new state-of-the-art 40-bed ED • Practice includes working approximately half shifts in Duluth and half in regional EDs • 8 and 9 hour shifts in Duluth with double & triple physician coverage plus APP support • Regional sites include Aurora, Virginia, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Deer River, and Superior WI • Regional sites feature 3.5K-12K patients/year, all level IV trauma • Regional shifts are typically 12-hour physician shifts or optional 24-hour shifts • Full spectrum emergency medicine care including pediatrics • Large catchment area with collaborative specialists and subspecialists (PICU/NICU teams, pediatric sub-specialists, neuro-interventional team, STEMI team) • Telemedicine support for stroke, psychiatry, NICU, hospice, and cardiology • Teaching opportunities available with family medicine residents and medical students • Must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine • Excellent team player who works well with entire ED team, consultants and patients • Strong commitment to caring for patients both in Duluth and regional locations • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance • 401(k) plan with employer contributions • Professional development through training, tuition reimbursement, and educational programs • Flexible scheduling, generous time off, and wellness resources
