Facility in Everett, PA seeking Emergency Medicine locums coverage

Rates: $325/hr

Opportunity Highlights

  • Start Date: April 27, 2026.

  • Schedule: Approximately 4 shifts per month; 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM preferred; must be open to 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or mid-levels if needed).

  • Dual-Site Coverage: Seamlessly rotate between 2 facilities.

  • Solo Proficiency: Confidence to work solo at one facility while leading an integrated team with APP support.

  • Support Staff: Work alongside dedicated APPs; physician sign-off on APPs is required.

Clinical Setting & Scope

Facility 1

  • Volume: ~19,000 annual visits (~51 patients per 24 hours).

  • Hospital Size: 49-bed acute care facility.

  • Specialty Support: On-site Anesthesia and Hospitalist/Specialty groups coordinate all admissions.

  • Trauma: Primary stabilization and transfer point for high-acuity trauma.

Facility 2

  • Trauma Level: Accredited Level III Adult Trauma Center.

  • Volume: Regional referral center serving a 20-county area with ~52,000 annual ED visits.

  • Stroke Center: Comprehensive/Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.

Required Procedures & Expertise

Providers must be fully capable of serving as the primary attending for all conditions ranging from pediatric to geriatric trauma.

  • Emergency Interventions: Intubations, chest tube insertion, and central/arterial line placement.

  • Orthopedic/Minor Procedures: Joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repairs, and I&Ds.

  • Note: Ventilator management is not required.

Provider Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Medicine post-residency.

  • Education: Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency.

  • Board Status: Board Certified (ABEM/AOBEM) or truly Board Eligible.

  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania state license and DEA (IMLC accepted).

  • Certifications: Stroke Certification required. Note: ATLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS are not required if Board Certification is active.
