This facility is a regional medical center serving the West Branch community as part of a larger healthcare system. The emergency department handles approximately 9,000 annual visits with a fast-track area staffed by physicians, providing comprehensive emergency care to the local population.
Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Locum tenens position to cover recruitment gap - joining a float pool of providers for PRN shifts
• Emergency Medicine physician needed - board certification required (no board eligible)
• Open to Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physicians with 2+ years of recent EM experience
• Average 30 patients per day in a 20-bed emergency department
• Full ED staff support with hospitalists writing admission orders
• Works with Cerner electronic health record system
• Free-standing facility with fast track staffed by MD
• Michigan medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Provider must be local, no exceptions
• Must maintain clean background for quick credentialing
• Orientation and training provided
• ED staff does not respond to house codes
• Clock in/out using Doctime system
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
