The emergency department features 22 beds with modern amenities including Meditech 6.1 EMR system, providing comprehensive emergency care services to approximately 32,000 patients annually.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Multiple 12-hour shifts available in March and April 2026 (mix of day and night shifts) • Standard solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts • Physicians typically see 18-20 patients in a 12-hour shift • Daily patient volume of 90-100 patients • Staffing model includes 1 physician with 2 mid-level split coverage • Open ICU • Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (mandatory requirement) • Board certification required (Board Eligible physicians will be reviewed as long as BE does not exceed 3 years) • 24-hour support services include anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology • Hospital includes L&D department • Active NC license required • Estimated credentialing timeframe of 15 days • Hospital-owned apartments provided for physician accommodation • Travel costs capped at $500
