Job description

This is a low-volume VA Emergency Department located in Clarksburg, West Virginia, serving approximately 9,100 ED visits annually (~25 patients/day) with about 1,400 admissions per year. The closest airport is North Central West Virginia Airport (CKB) in Bridgeport, WV.


  • Shifts are primarily 12-hour blocks across days and nights.
  • EMR is RPMS (Legacy Internal EMR).
  • Any unrestricted U.S. medical license is acceptable.
  • Physicians pay rate: $285/hour - All inclusive

Job Responsibilities

Coverage requires ABEM-certified Emergency Medicine physicians providing full-spectrum ED care, including emergent intake, resuscitation, airway management, ECG interpretation, credentialed procedures, admissions/discharges, care coordination, and participation in QA, chart review, and staff meetings.

Qualifications

ABEM-certified physicians only (non-negotiable)
Active DEA, BLS, ACLS
Comfort practicing independently in a low-volume, broad-scope ED
Willingness to cover day and/or night shifts

VA experience is a plus, but adaptability is key

Working Hours

12 hr shifts day and nights

Skills

Strong professionalism, clean history, and participation in QA/team oversight
