Emergency Medicine coverage needed at a community hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida, starting soon.
This is a physician-only EM role with solid volume, strong support, and predictable scheduling. Best fit is an ABEM/ABOEM-trained EM physician who is open to mixed shifts, including nights.
Practice Overview

~30,000 annual ED visits

2.0–2.2 patients per hour

Admission rate ~25%

Transfer rate ~2% (primarily trauma, neurosurgery, pediatrics)

Hospitalists manage admissions

APP coverage daily (varies by weekday/weekend)
Physician Shifts

Mixed shifts required, with overnight coverage needed
Requirements

ABEM or ABOEM only

EM residency trained
-
Florida license or IMLC
-
Open to mixed shifts, including nights

Recruiting outside a 50-mile radius of Port Charlotte
