Located about 56 miles from McLaren Bay Hospital, it provides medical professionals with a peaceful work environment while still having access to larger healthcare networks.
Facility:
This medical center is part of a respected regional healthcare system serving the West Branch community. The facility features a fully-staffed emergency department with Cerner EHR system and provides essential emergency services to the local population with an annual ER volume of approximately 9,000 patients.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician position to fill recruitment gap
• Covering 24-hour shifts (0800-0800)
• Managing approximately 30 patients per day
• Working in a free-standing ED with 20 beds
• ED includes a fast track area staffed by MD
• Full ED staff support provided
• Must be comfortable with standard ED procedures and skills
• Hospitalist writes admission orders
• No requirement to supervise other healthcare providers
• ED staff does not respond to house codes
• Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (Board Eligible not accepted)
• Internal Medicine/Family Medicine physicians with 2+ years recent EM experience may be considered
• Active Michigan medical license required at time of clearance (IMLC not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Must be local to the area
• Clean background required for quick credentialing
• Provider must clock in/out using Doctime system
• Half rate paid during orientation and training period
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
