Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician (Michigan)
A central Michigan facility is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (or BC IM/FM with 2+ yrs recent ED experience) for locum coverage.
Start: Feb 1, 2026
End: May 31, 2026
Requirements (No Exceptions)
- Active Michigan license at time of submission (no IMLC)
- Local providers only
- Clean background for quick credentialing
- Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Job Details
- Shifts: 9–10 hrs (12s possible) • Weekends required • No call
- 29,000 annual volume. Approx. 1.8 pts/hr
- Full ED support: APP coverage, nursing, tech, radiology, lab
- EHR: Cerner
- Standard EM procedures required (airway, lines, lacerations, I&D, ortho, LP, paracentesis, etc.)
Compensation
- Hourly: up to $300/hr
- Occurrence form malpractice coverage provided by Ascend.
Travel
- Mileage/car/fuel reimbursed
- Lodging up to $150/night
