This short-term locum assignment offers a rare opportunity to practice emergency medicine in one of the most remote and culturally rich regions of the country—Northwest Arctic Alaska.
As the Emergency Medicine Physician on duty, you will provide essential emergency care to a small community while working alongside a fully staffed team.

Job Responsibilities
Manage a patient volume of approximately 5–10 patients per shift
Deliver high-quality care across a broad spectrum of emergency conditions
Support surrounding village clinics as needed
Assist with patient stabilization and medical transport back to the hospital
Perform advanced emergency procedures, including intubations, chest tubes, airway management, and complex suturing
Collaborate with hospitalists and other clinical team members
Qualifications
Board Certification
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Active DEA registration
Minimum 2 years of full-spectrum Emergency Medicine experience
Direct experience with medivac operations and patient stabilization
Proficiency in advanced airway management and critical procedures (intubation, chest tubes, suturing)
Prior experience working in rural or remote Alaska (strongly preferred)
