This regional medical center serves as a vital healthcare provider for the community with a 22-bed emergency department. The facility utilizes Meditech 6.1 EMR system and features an open ICU with comprehensive emergency services handling approximately 32,000 annual patient visits.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Standard solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts (7P-7A on February 3) • Physician works with 2 mid-level providers in a split coverage model • Average of 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift in a department handling 90-100 patients daily • Provider must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (PECOS enrollment is mandatory) • Board certification required (Board Eligible physicians will be considered if BE does not exceed 3 years) • 24-hour support services available for Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology • Labor & Delivery department on-site, but newborn deliveries are not received in ED • Hospital-owned apartments provided for physician housing • Travel costs capped at $500 • 14-day estimated credentialing timeframe • Must be licensed in North Carolina
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
