This medical center is part of a respected healthcare network providing essential emergency and inpatient services to the local community. The facility features comprehensive emergency care services, medical/surgical inpatient care, skilled care, and is equipped with medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services using the EPIC EMR system.
Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• PRN coverage needed for specific dates from December 2025 through May 2026 • Function as sole provider covering both ED and Med/Surg units • Work alongside 2 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider • Support includes 1-2 RNs per provider plus 1 paramedic and occasional CNAs and NPNs • Manage an average of 3.6 ED patients and 1.4 Med/Surg patients daily • Provide emergency care, inpatient services, and skilled care in a 2-exam room setting • Temporary privileges are an option, but emergency privileges are not • Board Certification required • Active Iowa medical license required • DEA and CSR credentials must be in hand • No APP supervision, outreach, or telehealth responsibilities • Reimbursement for travel includes flights (with $750 round trip cap), lodging, rental car, and mileage
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
