Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join its expanding emergency services team in Dothan, Alabama.
This full-time role offers a dynamic clinical environment with high patient volume, diverse case mix, and strong support from experienced emergency physicians, APPs, and nursing staff. Physicians will manage acute medical conditions, trauma, emergent procedures, and critical care interventions.

Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and emergent conditions
Perform ED procedures including:
Intubation
Central lines
Chest tubes
Laceration repair
Splinting
Incision and drainage
Procedural sedation
Manage cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma emergencies
Coordinate and collaborate with specialty teams (trauma, cardiology, surgery, neurology, etc.)
Supervise and support APPs working in the ED
Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Participate in ED quality initiatives, patient safety programs, and performance improvement
Support patient flow, throughput, and efficient care delivery
Qualifications
Education
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
Licensure & Certification
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
ATLS preferred
Experience
Open to new graduates and experienced EM physicians
Prior experience in a high-volume or trauma-capable ED is a plus
Skills
Strong emergency management and clinical decision-making abilities
Proficiency in common ED procedures
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
