Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
Trauma Level: Adult III
Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month: Needs EM doctor who can provide 6 days of shift coverage monthly. 12hr shifts, 8a-8p or 10a-10p.
• Frequency of any Call needed: None
Schedule Details: 6 night shifts per month 8p-8a beginning in October. Needs 15 -20 day shift either 8a-8p or 10a-10p each month October and forward.
Work Details:
• Support staff: Yes, nurses, techs, etc. Will have 1 other physician on duty at all times, with 12 hours of APP coverage each day too
• Department Description: ER Level 3 Trauma – high acuity & volume
• Patient Volume: averaging 60 patients per day, up from 44 patients per day 2 years ago – with peaks of 70+ pts per day
• Patient Age Group: all ages
• EMR/Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• EMR/Documentation system experience – required or preferred?: Either
• Special Equipment Used: New POC is available in the ER, not required but available for use
Requirements:
• Board Certifications Req’d/Preferred: MUST be BC in Emergency Medicine.
• State License(s) / IMLC Req’d?: MO License required
• Certifications Req’d?: BLS, ACLS and ATLS if not EM trained
• DEA Req’d?: MO DEA required and MO BNDD required
• Minimum Experience Req’d: flexible as long as board certified
• Are vaccines mandatory?: yes unless exemption provided
• Additional requirements/details to screen for?: No late-career physicians and no physicians coming out of retirement
