Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details

• Location: Du Bois, PA
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Minimum 8-10 shifts per month (blocked days required for travelers)
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
• Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours/week
  
• Practice Setting: Hospital Emergency Departments (multiple locations, including Level II trauma centers and critical access hospitals)
• EMR System: Cerner
• Patient Population: All ages – neonates to geriatrics
• Support Staff: Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and nursing teams

Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required for most Pennsylvania locations)
• Active state medical license (IMLC accepted; Pennsylvania medical license highly preferred)
• DEA license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in emergency medicine
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Willingness to float to multiple hospital locations and cover various shift types
  

Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages in hospital emergency departments
• Stabilize and manage trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies
• Perform emergency procedures including intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and code response
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including APPs, nurses, and specialists
• Accurately document patient care in the Cerner EMR system
• Adapt to the needs of each facility, including Level II trauma centers and critical access hospitals
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear communication with team members
