Position Overview:
A well-established hospital near Macon, Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide full emergency department coverage. This locum tenens role offers a predictable schedule with no call, supported by a high-volume facility utilizing EPIC EMR.
Position Details:

Shifts: (6 AM – 6 PM; 6 PM – 6 AM) w/ 9a-1a daily APP Backup

Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 31,758

Trauma Level: Level IV

Requirements:

Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM accepted)

ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required

Active Georgia medical license

Must complete full payer enrollment

Immunizations: TB test, flu vaccine, N95 fit test required (waivers considered)
Privileging & Onboarding:

Privileging timeframe: 60-90 days (expedited locum privileges available upon credentials committee approval)
