Job description Emergency Medicine Physician Job – Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Clinical Role

  • Seeking a Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician

  • Outstanding opportunity for an Emergency Medicine physician in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

  • Experienced physicians, graduating residents, or fellows preferred — other specialties will be considered

Practice Details
  • 18-bed emergency department renovated/expanded in 2017

  • Annual volume: ~16,000 visits

  • Solo physician coverage with advanced practitioner support 10 AM – 10 PM daily

  • Shifts: 7 AM – 7 PM and 7 PM – 7 AM, with overlap for proper hand-offs

  • Separate walk-in clinic across the street staffed by NP/PA (9 AM – 7 PM)

  • Strong specialist support, including psychiatry

  • Trauma team required to be on-site within 20 minutes

Requirements
  • U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent

  • Residency completed in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible

  • Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance License

  • Not accepting visa candidates
