Join a mission-driven team at Davis Medical Center in Elkins, West Virginia, where you’ll lead a team of Emergency Medicine clinicians in a 21-bed Emergency Department that sees approximately 23,400 annual visits (~64 patients per day). The department was recently renovated and serves a six-county region in one of West Virginia’s most scenic and community-oriented towns.

Core Clinical Partners is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to lead our clinical team at Davis Medical Center, a renovated, community-focused hospital located in the scenic mountain town of Elkins, West Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for a forward-thinking physician to provide clinical leadership in a community-focused setting—enhancing care delivery in a region that values strong local healthcare, all with the support of a collaborative, clinician-led organization.

Facility Details:

  • ED Volume: 23,409 annual visits (~64 per day)
  • ED Beds: 21
  • Physician & APP Model: Emergency department staffed by physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Shifts: 12-hour physician shifts
  • ICU Beds: 9
  • Admission Rate: ~8%
  • Trauma Designation: Level IV
  • EMR: Paragon

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
• Prior Emergency Medicine experience required for FM or IM-trained physicians.
• Eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099 model).
• Active or eligible West Virginia medical license (preferred).

Working Hours

• 12-hour physician shifts.

Skills

• Proven track record with strong clinical judgment in high-acuity situations.
• Team-oriented approach and effective communication with APPs and hospital staff.
• Comfortable working in a rural emergency setting with a diverse patient population.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Paragon.
