Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Physician (ABMS/AOA IM or FM)

🏥 Facility Info:

Meigs ED is a free-standing Emergency Department
-
Daily Census: ~25–35 patients/day
-
Not a trauma-designated center – all traumas transferred to tertiary care
-
No admissions – handled at Gallipolis main site by Hospitalist team
🕒 Schedule:
-
24-hour physician coverage:
-
Day: 8 AM – 8 PM
-
Night: 8 PM – 8 AM
-
-
Mid-level coverage: 12 PM – 12 AM
-
Must be available for nights and weekends (note availability during name clear process)
💼 Responsibilities:
-
Manage all documentation independently
-
Respond to all ED codes
-
No admissions or trauma management on-site
-
Submit to all three Holzer sites: Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson

Name clear is not finalized until the client completes review of full presentation. All required items must be clearly notated at the time of name clear, or the provider will be redirected.
Requirements

Board Certification: ABMS or AOA in IM or FM only

OH License or IMLC with LOQ

ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, NRP – REQUIRED
-
COVID-19 Vaccination – REQUIRED
-
2+ years of recent EM experience – REQUIRED
