Admit patients to the hospital or discharge them from the ED with appropriate follow-up.8. Discuss treatment plan(s) with patient and or family/caregiver (following COBRA and HIPAA guidelines).9. Exhibits leadership in suggesting, and, with approval by the Chief, Emergency Department, instituting changes in patient care programs based on current concepts and finding from research and studies. Keeps informed of developments in the management and treatment of diseases and illness through continuing medical education, both formal and informal.10. Coordinate patient care with consultants as deemed appropriate.11. Supports the safety, occupational health, and fire protection program by the application of approved standards, regulations, practices, and work methods.12. Completes all medical record do
