It has 10 emergency beds and 8 inpatient beds, and opened July 2020. It provides local care but is backed by a full complement of consultants and serves as a regional referral center for these patients.

La Porte is a historic town of over 22,000 people, and is home to multiple inland Lakes and golfing clubs with direct access to Chicago, IL and South Bend, IN.
