Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive patient care across the LaGrange, GA and Athens, GA areas. The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment, procedures, and referrals while working collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform complete and accurate patient histories and review medical records to develop comprehensive assessments of patients' medical status.

Order and interpret appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies based on the patient's condition and clinical needs.

Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and accurately document pertinent findings in appropriate medical records.

Evaluate patient information to establish medical diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Initiate treatment, provide medical care, and refer patients to appropriate healthcare facilities, specialists, physicians, or community resources when necessary.

Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and make appropriate adjustments to the plan of care.

Provide patients with clear instructions and guidance regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care.

Perform or assist with routine laboratory and therapeutic procedures, including:

Collection of specimens for bacteriological and viral cultures

Subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous injections

Debridement and care of superficial wounds

Suture removal

Administration of local anesthesia

Incision and drainage of superficial skin infections

Perform or assist with surgical procedures, including:

Pre-operative and post-operative patient care

Surgical assistance

Wound debridement

Incision and drainage of abscesses

Biopsies

Wound closures.


Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient documentation.

Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with applicable healthcare privacy requirements.

Treat patients, physicians, staff, visitors, and other members of the healthcare team with dignity and respect.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Licensure

Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) license in the state of practice is required.

Qualifications
