Schedule & Coverage

• Monday–Friday: 7:40 AM–4:40 PM

• Appointment length: 15–20 minutes

• Lunch: 12:00 PM–1:00 PM

• Mix of in-clinic and virtual visits

• No holiday coverage

• No call coverage

• Approximately 24–32 patients per shift

Practice Details

• Outpatient dermatology

• EMR: Epic

• Hospital stroke certified

• Support staff: 2 MAs

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 45–120 days

Required Skills & Scope of Practice

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages, except as specifically excluded from practice

• Manage benign and malignant disorders of the integumentary system, including:

  • Epidermis

  • Dermis

  • Subcutaneous tissue

  • Hair

  • Nails

  • Mouth

  • External genitalia

  • Cutaneous glands

• Diagnose and treat sexually transmitted diseases

• Diagnose and treat skin cancers, moles, and other skin tumors

• Manage contact dermatitis and allergic/non-allergic skin disorders

• Manage skin manifestations of systemic and infectious diseases

• Manage cosmetic skin disorders, including:

  • Hair loss

  • Scars

  • Skin changes associated with aging

• Interpret specially prepared tissue sections, cellular scrapings, and smears of skin lesions using routine and special techniques, including electron and fluorescent microscopy

Procedures

• Simple excision and repair

• Skin and nail biopsy

• Dermatologic surgery

• Electrosurgery

• Cryosurgery

• No Mohs surgery

• No cosmetic surgery

Qualifications

• Fellowship required

• Board Certified in Dermatology
