Job description
Seeking an experienced Locum Dermatology Physician to provide outpatient dermatology coverage in Rochester, NY. The position primarily supports a dermatology clinic with the potential to provide coverage at an additional nearby dermatology location.
The physician will manage a high volume of dermatology patients in an outpatient setting with dedicated clinical support staff. Providers with experience performing minor dermatologic procedures may have the opportunity to incorporate them into their practice.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and diagnose a broad range of dermatologic conditions
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Perform routine dermatologic examinations and follow ups
• Manage approximately 25–35 patients per day
• Perform minor dermatologic procedures when appropriately trained and experienced
• Collaborate with LPNs, RNs, MAs, and other clinical staff
• Review patient histories and clinical findings
• Provide patient education regarding diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Document patient encounters using EPIC
• Provide coverage at the primary dermatology clinic
• Provide occasional support at a nearby dermatology location as needed
Qualifications
• Active New York Physician License preferred
• Providers with a pending NY License may be considered
• Minimum 3 years of recent Dermatology experience
• Recent EPIC experience required
• BLS certification required
• Strong outpatient dermatology experience
• Experience managing high patient volumes
• Minor procedure experience preferred
• Must have an updated CV with complete work history
• Work history should account for gaps of 30 days or more
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working with dedicated clinical support staff
Working Hours
• Day shifts
• No call required
• Full time coverage preferred
• Flexible scheduling may be considered
