Founding Dermatologist & Department Lead Opportunity – Atlanta Metro Area

A physician-owned healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Dermatologist to establish and lead a new Dermatology Department in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for a dermatologist who wants to combine exceptional patient care with department development, clinical leadership, and practice growth.

The ideal physician will have a passion for medical and cosmetic dermatology, developing clinical programs, mentoring team members, and creating an outstanding patient experience.

As the founding Dermatology Department Lead, you will have the opportunity to shape clinical workflows, establish protocols, influence future growth, and help build a premier dermatology service line.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and lead the Dermatology Department
Provide comprehensive medical dermatology services
Perform dermatologic evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments
Conduct skin cancer screenings and biopsies
Provide cosmetic dermatology services in a premium patient environment
Develop clinical protocols, workflows, and standards of care
Recruit, train, and mentor dermatology team members
Collaborate with organizational leadership on department growth
Support quality initiatives and operational excellence

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of Dermatology residency training
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
Active Georgia medical license or ability to obtain
Eligible to work in the United States
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous physician leadership experience
Experience building or expanding clinical programs
Medical and cosmetic dermatology experience
Experience mentoring providers or clinical teams
Strong communication and organizational skills

Working Hours

Full-Time

Flexible 4-day or 5-day schedule available.
