We are seeking a Critical Care (Intensivist) physician for a locum tenens position in Alameda, CA. This is a float pool opportunity covering three hospital campuses within the Alameda Health System. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Adult patient population
Perform procedures including intubation, central line placement, pigtail chest tubes, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, and catheters
Manage 5–9 ICU patients per day depending on site
Collaborate with division chief, residents, hospitalists, and ER physicians
Coverage at Alameda Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and Highland Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)
Qualifications
Active California medical license
California DEA registration
AHA BLS certification
Minimum 3–5 years of attending-level experience working independently
Prior locum tenens experience required
Working Hours
Optional night beeper call (unlikely to be assigned)
