A hospital is seeking a Board Certified Critical Care Physician for locum tenens ICU coverage across multiple locations. This role includes ICU rounding, admissions, and occasional pulmonary consults in a trauma setting.

Schedule & Coverage Dates

Candidates must be able to cover most of the following dates:

June 15–21 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

July 6–12 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

July 13–19 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

July 20–26 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

July 27–August 2 – ICU days (7AM–7PM)

August 3–9 – ICU days (7AM–7PM)

August 10–16 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

August 17–23 – ICU nights (7PM–7AM)

August 24–30 – ICU

Clinical Responsibilities

Inpatient ICU rounding and admissions

Occasional pulmonary consults

Involvement in covering/supervising Family Medicine residents (occasionally)

Patient Volume

Approximately 25 patients on ICU list

Average 5 admissions per night

Support Staff

APP support available (APPs have a formal supervising physician)

EMR: Epic

Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days

Travel

Flights, Lodging, Rental car: up to $50/day cap or Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate

Requirements

Board Certified in Critical Care – required

Fellowship in Critical Care – required

ACLS, DEA, CSR – required

Must be comfortable performing required procedures

Active Idaho license or IMLC (with LOQ) – required

COVID-19 vaccination – required

Self-Query NPDB (within the last month) – required at presentation
