Job description
Bring your electrophysiology expertise to a growing cardiology program in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Because demand is rising, a well-established cardiology group at a 396-bed tertiary care hospital with a Level II trauma center is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist. The group is part of a regional health network serving northeast Indiana, with collegial physicians, a strong support team, and leadership invested in growing EP services.
The role:
- Perform complex ablations, including AF and VT, with 3D mapping and pulsed field ablation
- Implant pacemakers, ICDs, CRT, and leadless pacemakers
- Perform left atrial appendage occlusion, such as Watchman
- See patients in EP clinic 1 to 2 days per week, with device clinic support
- Take light, shared call
- Work alongside 10 cardiologists, a heart failure team, and an LVAD program, supported by APPs, RNs, scribe nurses, and admin staff
- Use Cerner with Dragon dictation
Compensation and benefits:
- $800k+ total compensation, with flexibility based on the candidate
- Up to $215K in recruitment incentives, including a sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, and relocation
- 4 weeks of PTO and 5 days of CME & stipend
- Paid malpractice with tail coverage, plus Indiana Patient's Compensation Fund protection
- Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and a 401k match
The community:
Fort Wayne is Indiana's second-largest city and one of the Midwest's most affordable metros. Enjoy welcoming neighborhoods, good schools, short commutes, and a revitalized downtown with riverfront parks, minor league sports, and a growing dining scene. Nearby lakes make for easy weekends on the water, and Chicago, Indianapolis, and Detroit are a short drive away. It's a great place to raise a family and put down roots.
