Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–12:30 PM
• Full-time coverage preferred
• Minimum availability: 2 weeks per month per provider
• Ideal availability: 4 weeks per month

Call Details:

• Weeknight call rotation: 1:4
• Weekend call rotation: 1:5 or 1:6
• Weeknight call:
• Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Friday: 12:30 PM–8:00 AM
• Weekend 24-hour call: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM Saturday and Sunday

Practice Details:

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Clinic and outreach rotations across multiple locations.
• Hospital rotation as Doctor of the Week (DOW), including rounding on cardiology patients, admissions, discharges, and fellow teaching.
• Reading responsibilities include echocardiograms, nuclear studies, EKGs, and heart monitors.
• TEE and cardioversions when covering the DOW service.
• Outreach locations include Belmond, Clarion, Iowa Falls, Emmetsburg, and New Hampton, with possible additional sites.
• Clinic appointments generally follow 30-minute or 20/40-minute templates.
• Support includes cardiology APPs and nursing staff.

Licenses Required:

• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ)

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiology or Truly Board Eligible
• Truly Board Eligible candidates must be within 5 years of fellowship completion
• Fellowship trained
• Minimum availability of 2 weeks per month
