Job description Ongoing cardiology locums coverage at a hospital in southwest Virginia, starting December 1, 2026, with top pay for the right physician. The role blends scheduled outpatient clinic hours with inpatient care and call, about 10 to 12 patients per shift, in a department supported by 2 RNs, an APC and office staff. Temporary privileges are available and credentialing runs about 30 days. Travel is covered.

Job Responsibilities

Provide cardiology care across outpatient clinic and inpatient settings, seeing about 10 to 12 patients per shift. Round on assigned inpatients and take admissions. Cover call as part of the schedule. Work alongside 2 RNs, an APC and office staff. Chart in Athena and Meditech.

Qualifications

Cardiology training, with fellowship preferred. Virginia license or an IMLC letter of qualification. ACLS and BLS. Hospital privileges required, with temporary privileges available.

Working Hours

Scheduled clinical hours plus call. Start date December 1, 2026, ongoing.
