Experienced Interventional Cardiologists are needed for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Eureka, California, beginning March 4, 2027. This inpatient-focused assignment offers 24-hour beeper call coverage across select dates throughout the year, ideal for physicians seeking defined coverage blocks.
The clinical mix is approximately 75% interventional cardiology and 25% noninvasive cardiology, with nuclear medicine (NUC) reading and activity also required. Physicians must have several years of interventional cardiology experience; new graduates will not be considered.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients requiring interventional and noninvasive cardiology services
Perform required interventional cardiology procedures within scope and privileges
Complete required nuclear medicine reading and related clinical activity
Respond to call within 20 minutes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible, with board eligibility within 3–5 years of residency
Several years of experience in interventional cardiology; new graduates are not accepted
Active California medical license required
Active fluoroscopy certification required
BLS and ACLS required
DEA required
Current CV must include all hospital affiliations
At least two years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty is required
Gaps in clinical activity exceeding three months must be explained

March: March 5–8, ending at 7:00 AM; March 12–13, ending at 7:00 AM
July: July 30 at 7:00 AM through August 6 at 7:00 AM

December: December 24 onward
