Locums | General Cardiology | Rockport, ME (ME license or IMLC)
Why This Role
ME license or IMLC
One week on, one week off
Two-on/two-off blocks considered
Primarily phone-managed after-hours call
Three cardiologists and three APPs
Assignment Details
Start as soon as credentialed
Coverage blocks begin and end Thursday at 5 p.m.
One week on, one week off; two weeks on, two weeks off considered
Monday–Friday onsite, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Weeknight call: 5 p.m.–8 a.m.
Weekend call: 24-hour shifts, 8 a.m.–8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday
After-hours and weekend call covers two regional hospitals
Calls generally managed by phone; onsite response required when clinically necessary
Inpatient consultations and cardiac testing; adult patients only
Approximately 46 medical/surgical beds and an open 8-bed ICU
Practice includes 3 cardiologists and 3 APPs
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: approximately 90–120 days
Clinical Details
Stress testing coverage
Cardiac graphics interpretation
Inpatient cardiology consultations
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
Direct-current cardioversion (DCCV)
Night and weekend cardiology call
Requirements
Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease required
Active Maine medical license or IMLC
Epic experience required
COVID and flu vaccination required
Ability to perform TEE and DCCV
Availability for complete Thursday-to-Thursday coverage blocks
