Job description
A community hospital in the Rockport, ME area, on the Maine midcoast, is looking for a cardiologist for ongoing locum coverage on a one week on, one week off schedule (two weeks on, two weeks off can be considered). It is an adult, inpatient practice with about 46 med-surg beds and an open 8-bed ICU, plus cardiac testing, on Epic. The target start is January 11. Pay is $423.50/hr in house, $562.50 for each weeknight of call and $1,584 for each 24-hour weekend day, with callback paid at $635.25/hr on top. After-hours and weekend calls are managed by phone, and you come in only when the situation requires it. Travel is covered, including flights, hotel and rental car.
Job Responsibilities
- Cover stress testing and graphics interpretation on site, Monday through Friday, 8a to 5p
- Perform procedures including TEE and DCCV
- Take weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call for the hospital and a nearby sister hospital, managed by phone
Qualifications
- Active Maine license or active IMLC LOQ
- Epic experience
- TEE and DCCV experience
