Coverage Type: Scheduled + On-Call Required
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Inpatient Hospital Cardiology & Cardiac Testing
Schedule:
- Coverage cadence: 1 week on / 1 week off
- Block: Thursday at 5:00 PM through the following Thursday at 5:00 PM
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM onsite coverage
- Weeknight call: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM, phone/beeper coverage
- Weekend call: Saturday 8:00 AM–Monday 8:00 AM, 24-hour call coverage
Clinical Setting:
- 99-bed full-service hospital
- Approximately 46 medical-surgical beds and an 8-bed open ICU
- Cardiology group includes 3 cardiologists and 3 APPs
Responsibilities:
- Inpatient hospital consultations
- Stress testing and graphics interpretation
- Procedures, including TEE and DCCV
- Phone consultations during call; minimal callbacks expected on weekends
Licenses Required:
- Active Maine medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
