Join a well-established acute care hospital in the Greensboro, NC area seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning December 2026.
Position Highlights
✅ Long-term assignment (69 weeks)
✅ Night and weekend coverage only
✅ No invasive procedures required
✅ Read Echo and Nuclear Studies
✅ Consults and E&M services only
✅ Epic EMR
✅ Adult patient population
Schedule
Coverage needed a minimum of:
- 1 week per month
- 1 weekend per month (as needed)
Shift Times:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Friday: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Saturday: 5:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Sunday: 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Inpatient cardiology consults
- Evaluation & Management services
- Read echocardiograms and nuclear studies
- Care for patients admitted under the cardiology service
- Maintain charge documentation logs
- Act as second-call support during assigned shifts
Requirements
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Active North Carolina Medical License
- DEA License
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
Practice Setting
- Acute Care Hospital
- Adult Patients
- Collaborative cardiology team
- No temporary pacemaker coverage required (covered by EP physician)
