General Cardiology Physician Position in New York

• Coverage Needed: 2–3 weeks per month

• Alternative Schedule: Two locum providers may be considered, working opposite schedules of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

• Patient Care Locations:

  • Massena Hospital, 1 Hospital Drive, Massena, NY: Outpatient clinic and stress test supervision

  • Canton-Potsdam Hospital Main, 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam, NY: Hospital consultation service

• EMR: Epic

• Experience: More than 5 years preferred

• Malpractice History: No malpractice claims permitted

Schedule & Coverage

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Coverage required 2–3 weeks per month

• On-call coverage: 4:00 PM–8:00 AM, as needed to fill coverage gaps

• The physician will float between the two facilities.

Clinical Details

• Outpatient cardiology clinic approximately 3 days per week.

• Supervise stress tests approximately 1 day per week.

• Provide inpatient consultations and support the stress lab.

• Read the nuclear portion of stress tests as needed to support other providers. Nuclear imaging interpretation is preferred but not required.

• Participate in the hospital consultation service rotation as needed.

• Additional responsibilities and patient types will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements

• Board certification in Cardiology required.

• Active New York medical license in hand.

• Epic experience required.

• AHA or RQI certifications accepted.

• Ability to read cardiac imaging studies preferred, including nuclear stress tests.

• No malpractice claims.

• Residents and fellows are not accepted.
