Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Job Details:

Long-term, full-time locum tenens assignment covering outpatient clinic and call responsibilities
Monday through Friday clinic schedule with weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
8-hour clinic days with operating hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Monthly call schedule includes on-call coverage 2 weeks per month: 1 week Monday through Sunday and a second week Monday through Friday
Minimum of 4 weeks per month required
Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
Board certification required; invasive cardiology and diagnostic catheterization preferred but not required
Required skills include outpatient cardiology, inpatient cardiology, ICU, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, TEE, and nuclear cardiology
Preferred skills include invasive diagnostic cardiology, cardiac catheterization, PA catheter placement, IABP placement, interventional cardiology procedures (angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy), and electrophysiology (ablation, pacemaker placement, ICD implantation)
Active state license or IMLC required; DEA required; ACLS certification required
Clean files preferred

This is a Level 3 trauma facility offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including a dedicated cardiology department with 12 beds. The facility supports a broad scope of cardiac care, from non-invasive diagnostics to advanced interventional procedures, and is staffed to handle complex cardiovascular cases. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.
