- Exciting Locum Tenens Cardiology opportunity in Michigan.
- Seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for inpatient hospital coverage and call.
- $3,000 per 24-hour call.
- $350/hour for callback.
- Coverage is Sunday through Saturday, including inpatient and hospital call responsibilities.
- 24-hour coverage: 6:00 AM–6:00 AM.
- No clinic responsibilities — focus exclusively on inpatient cardiology and call.
- Work alongside a supportive inpatient team with 3 dedicated cardiology APPs.
- Facility utilizes Cerner EMR.
- Ideal opportunity for a Michigan-based or nearby drive-in Cardiologist..
- Excellent opportunity for a physician seeking strong call compensation, APP support, and inpatient-focused practice.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage hospitalized cardiology patients.
Work collaboratively with 3 inpatient APPs.
Perform and/or interpret: Echocardiography, Treadmill stress tests, Chemical stress tests
Interpret diagnostic cardiac studies and provide appropriate clinical recommendations.
Respond to inpatient consultations and clinical calls.
Provide timely, high-quality patient care.
Document patient encounters and clinical decisions in Cerner.
Participate in callback coverage as required.
No outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Qualifications
Active Michigan medical license – Required
DEA – Verbal confirmation required at name clearance
Must reside in Michigan or near Michigan and be able to drive to the facility.
Clean background – Required; no exceptions
Recent Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation.
Must provide availability based on the requested coverage dates.
Must be comfortable providing inpatient cardiology and call coverage.
Required skills include echocardiography and treadmill/chemical stress testing with interpretation.
Working Hours
Coverage may include Sunday through Saturday.
No clinic responsibilities
24-hour call rate: $3,000
Callback rate: $350/hour
Monday–Friday 24-hour call includes 8 hours of gratis time
Weekend 24-hour call includes 4 hours of gratis time
